To add pages or links to a sidebar, first create a custom menu and then add it as a widget to your site’s sidebar.
Step 1: Create a custom menu
- Click Appearance > Menus
- Click create a new menu link
- Enter a name for the menu, and click Create Menu
- Select items from the left column, then add them to the custom menu by clicking Add to Menu
- Click Save Menu
Step 2: Create a widget
- Click Appearance > Widgets
- Click Navigation Menu in the left column under the Available Widgets
- From the expanded menu, select Sidebar then click Add Widget
- Add a Title (optional)
- Select your “Custom Menu” from the drop down list
- Click Save
