Gutenberg blocks are pieces of content you add to WordPress pages and posts. Blocks can be arranged and styled individually.  They can also be cloned and used in other areas of your WordPress site. The Gutenberg editor offers many types of content blocks.

To see what content blocks are available, click the Add block button in the upper left corner of a page or post editing screen. This opens the integrated block directory panel (see screenshot below). Hover over a block to see a description and example. Click a block to add it to your page or post.

Widgets

Widgets normally display in the sidebar or footer area of a WordPress site. These blocks are common widgets that can be added inside a page or post.

Theme

The blocks in this category depend on the theme you have chosen for your site.

Embeds

These blocks that let you embed items from commonly used external websites, such as YouTube and Flickr. The embedded item displays on the page or post.
